In the movie we watched in class, the video proved to us that we can not survive with out a sustainable money system. It also described to us that if there was no debt in this world, then nobody would have any money. Debt is what is running our country. When banks lend out money they only need a small percentage of money in their bank to be able to lend out a lot more to other people. It is all based on a small percentage and make believe money. I feel that this process is very unreliable even though it has worked for many centuries. Today, you can see how this process is slowly starting to weaken our economy. Our stock market is starting to crash which will enable no loans to be offered to people. I believe that we should find a better way to manage our money system then incorporating imaginary money and basing a lot of money off of a small percentage of money that we really have. If we lose all of that make believe money, we are in trouble because we do not have the real money to pay it off.
