First being aired in August of 1997, South Park has grown into a globally known television series. South Park is a humorous comedy that makes fun of current events, issues, and pop culture. Teenagers can easily relate to South Park because of the topics they mock. They make fun of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and many other well known celebrities. Because of the topics they choose it enables many people to understand the humor in this show. The television show not only has the series, but it was also made into a full length feature film, it has clothing apparel, accessories, and many other things.
South Park has won many awards and is still just as popular as when it was first aired in 1997. It's success has made it become very popular globally.
